What is BRFSS?

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the nation's premier system of health-related telephone surveys that collect state data about U.S. residents regarding their health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. It is the he largest continuously conducted health survey system in the world and collects data at the county, state and national levels.

How is it useful?

This information tells us a lot about the people of Douglas County and their daily activities, health conditions, and other matters. 

This website presents a variety of BRFSS data compiled by the DCHD Health Data program that may be of interest to public policy makers, medical professionals, students, and interested members of the general public.
